Wellesley Country Club
Wellesley Country Club is a well-established and highly respected golf club that added a new locker room and bathhouse to its swimming pool complex in 1996. As part of that renovation, Hammer Design prepared plans for a new entrance drive for members to use to drop-off their clubs prior to play. The new entrance design took great care to save several mature trees (two maple, one spruce) by building stone tree wells around them. The wells allowed the retention of the trees and provided highly desirable amenities along the drive. Masses of color during the growing (and golfing) season were included in the form of flower beds in many of the entry areas.
